Stephen Marley partnered with Playing For Change to revisit his father Bob Marley’s 1974 reggae classic, “No Woman No Cry,” in celebration of the song’s 50th anniversary. The new rendition brings together Brazilian icon Gilberto Gil and a diverse group of musicians from around the globe. This track is also part of the latest installment in Playing For Change’s ‘Song Around The World’ series and will be included on their upcoming album, Songs For Humanity.
“Was an honor being a part of such a great project,” Stephen says in a statement to Rolling Stone, “My father and Gilberto are friends…the legacy continues.”
